Dragon Ball: Xenoverse 2 là bản tiếp theo của tựa game đối kháng/hành động khá thành công ra mắt hồi đầu năm 2015 với bổ sung thêm nhiều nhân vật mới, chủ yếu đến từ bộ phim hoạt hình Dragon Ball Super đang chiếu ở Nhật Bản.
Người chơi vào vai một nhân vật chính mới tiếp tục làm việc cho tổ chức bảo vệ dòng thời gian Time Patrol. Tuy nhiên ở phiên bản lần này, game thủ sẽ không còn bị trói buộc phải hành động theo con đường chính nghĩa nữa.
